Byron Inn Café chef Roberto Rose bringing sizzle to Baconfest

Byron Inn Café -a delicious diamond in the rough
Pulling into the small, nearly century-old Byron Inn Café on the side of a dusty highway, you wouldn’t really expect much more than the type of fare you’d find in a million other diners across the country.
While you will certainly find burgers, salads and breakfast plates, the chow in this burgeoning foodie mecca is far from typical, following the new owner’s farm-to-fork philosophy.
“One of the most important things to me in this business is to put out fresh, locally sourced foods, cooked simply – the right way,” said owner Roberto Rose, who took over the eatery in October, after years of working at upscale restaurants in San Francisco.
